Mother's and Father's Day 2012

I don't know what was wrong with me, but I took not ONE picture on Mother's Day.  How crazy is that? No pictures of me and my boy. :/  We sent these cute invites out a couple weeks before the big day.  Because of Danny's work schedule, we ended up switching to a dinner on Saturday, the night before.
All our mom's and grandma's (and the rest of the family) came over that night for tacos, beans, rice, mexican cornbread, dip and some sopapilla cheesecake.  Everything turned out yummy!  Ruston made some candle holders for everyone, so he handed them all out.  We used clay and formed it around a tealight holder.  Then he pushed the colored rocks into the clay while it was still wet.  Once it was dry, he painted half of them purple and half pink.  Then I added a clear gloss on top.  We picked up some different colored/scented tealights and they were ready to go!  Again, no pictures of how cute they were all wrapped up on the fireplace, but this is Gigi's sitting out at her house!

I got back on track and actually documented Father's Day.  We made coasters for all the important men in our lives.  We started out with paint on some plain white tiles.
I let him paint half of them, then we did handprints on the other half.  Then I sprayed them with a sealer and put some felt dots on the bottoms.
Silly boy concentrates with his tongue hanging out. :)
Here they are, all wrapped up and ready to go!
Daddy loved his coasters!
Ruston also drew him a picture and got him some card blessings to carry in his car when he works.  We also made him a card resembling his truck and some moo-lah to fix some problems it's been having.
Family picture!
We went to Chili's with my Dad and Grandpa that night.  This boy loved him some corn on the cob!
All the men on Father's Day.
Dad and Grandpa with the kids.
Dad, Benda, and kids. (Danny was hiding in the bathroom for all these pics! lol)
