Carving Party

We had a pumpkin carving party in our garage last night!  My parents and siblings came over and we all ate pizza then carved our pumpkins.
Ruston was very opinionated on how he wanted his pumpkin face to look this  year.  It needed to be "cool and spooky."

He actually stuck his hand in and helped clean the pumpkin out this year.

Can you see where he wrote his name?  It wrapped around the whole pumpkin.  You can see the R U S, but the T O N are on the other side. He's so big!

Andrew's pumpkin threw up.  Gross!
Ruston's cool, spooky pumpkin is finished!

He made another one where you just push the facial features into the pumpkin.
Here he is pretending to be a pumpkin.  See his stem? ;)
All of our finished jack-o-lanterns, ready for the big day!

When we finished and everyone headed home, Melinda and I headed up to the hospital to see Scott and Rebekah.  They had sweet Adelie last night! :)

Pumpkin Patch 2012

We finally made it out to the pumpkin patch yesterday!  It was actually cold outside, so we didn't stay long.
We got our tickets and went for the pumpkin hunt first.   Ruston found the 2 little pumpkins he wanted and was pretty cooperative at getting our yearly pictures. :)  Go HERE to see the pictures from the past 2 years.  It's amazing how much he grows and changes each year!

Next we took a ride on the firetruck.  They drive out to a different part of the farm and show how the firefighters hook up the hoses.  The driver showed how they fight grass fires and tall building fires with the water.

Next up was pumpkin launching and some ducky fishing.

Ruston got a few prizes for catching his ducks, then we went on our way.  We stopped by HEB and bought some pumpkins to carve later in the week.  We're running out of time before Halloween! :)

Ring Bearing duties

Ruston got asked to be the ring bearer in Danny's cousin's wedding this past weekend. :)  How adorable does he look in his tux?!

He was such a little stud... he smiled for the all the cameras and just ate up all the attention he got.

I was worried that he wouldn't walk down the aisle, since he doesn't really know any of the people he would be walking towards.  But he did great! He held an older boy's hand and smiled the whole way. :)

He had a blast at the reception. He kept pulling different people out to come and dance with him!

He requested 2 songs with the DJ, and he got to dance to both of them.... Footloose and Big Green Tractor!
We had a great time at the wedding and are so honored to have been a part of it! Can't wait to see what God has in store for their marriage. :)
