30

I turned 30 this year!  It seems like such a big number.  And I'm not going to lie.... it hurts a little to say "30" when people ask how old I am. haha

I had the best time at my party.  It was just what I wanted.  Family, friends, good food, and good music!  I don't even know the name of the restaurant we went to, but it was delicious.
I had so many friends and family come to help me celebrate.  I'm so lucky to have so many people that love me.

A little embarrassing... the wait staff came out singing with my big sombrero... and I was in the bathroom! ha! It was so awkward to walk back to the table and have them standing there waiting on me! :)

After dessert and pictures, we headed out to the concert!
This girl is such a blessing! She made me the sweetest birthday present.  She had friends and family send in pictures and notes and put them all together in an awesome picture book.

My love of Suede is no secret, and I'm so pumped that we got to go see them for my birthday! We stayed out WAY too late, but I seriously had so much fun.  I definitely felt 30 the next morning.... It's just not as easy to get up and going as it used to be. :)

On my actual birthday, Ruston and Gigi planned a nice birthday lunch for me.  He picked out my cake and princess crown. :)

The month of LOVE...

At the beginning of February, Amy and I took the little kids to Sesame Street Live again!  It's such a fun tradition.  Three years in a row!

Our mantle needed some updates for Valentine's Day!  We made 2 new canvases that looked awesome and were so much fun to create.  We just mixed together a few different pinterest ideas I came across.
Our first one started with a big brown hand print...
...as a tree trunk!
Next we dipped toilet paper rolls in different colors of paint to make hearts for the "leaves" of our trees.  I added a cute quote and it was done!

Our second project was a copycat from my friend, Meredith.  She posted pictures on Facebook of her son's artwork and Ruston just had to make what his buddy Logan made. :)
I taped off the letters and he went to town painting over it.
He was pretty much an expert, because this is how we made his Bible verse poster for his room.
Check out that concentration!
And voila, all finished!
They look awesome up there, if I say so myself.
