HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Ruston and I headed to College Station on New Years Eve to celebrate with Danny. We had an ultra-healthy dinner.... pizza and applesauce. :)
Ruston hung tough and stayed up until midnight. He helped us count down from 10 and was so excited to see all the confetti and hear the horns on TV. And of course he loved his smooches!!
I didn't think he'd go for the Black-eyed Peas, but he actually ended up liking them! I got him to say "Good luck" before he took each bite. We should be set on our good luck for the year... he ate lots of bites. :)
As for resolutions, I wanted to go more with things I thought I might actually be able to succeed at. Of course I'd like to lose weight, work out more, eat better, and be more organized. But I say that every year. And I don't make much improvement. So I'm going a different route.
This year, I'd like to have more patience. With 25 kids in my classroom, I tend to lose my patience quickly. I've found that if I mentally tell myself to take a deep breath and calm down, I usually do. So I just need to do it more often. :)
I'd also like to have more faith this year. I feel like I need to have more trust in God, myself, and other important people in my life. Everything is going to be fine and will work out exactly how it should. Things we go through now are all part of a plan. Just need to remind myself of that. :)
