Here we go...
Well, here I go.... I have a good amount of friends that use blogs to share the happenings of their lives. And considering I am bored as heck on summer break, I figured maybe this would keep me entertained. :) We have a ridiculous amount of changes going on in our lives right now.
Let's start at the beginning of our family..... Danny and I got married on August 8th, 2008 in Port Aransas, TX. We have fabulous friends that threw us fantastic bachelor and bachelorette parties...
Danny's lovely friends made him wear a pink SFA shirt...my lovely friends made me walk around with a blow up penis. :)
Everyone got into Port Aransas the day before the wedding for the rehearsal.
Then it was off to Island Moorings for a yummy rehearsal dinner....steak and baked potatoes!!
The next day, 08-08-08, was our wedding day!! Early that morning, a momma sea turtle crawled up on the beach about 30 yards from our wedding site and laid almost 100 eggs....everyone kept telling us that meant we would have a "fertile" marriage. I know it sounds like a weird piece of information, but trust me, it will be important a little later... :)
Our wedding was fantastic! The beach looked beautiful, the weather was perfect, and everyone had a chilled drink in their hands. It was relaxed, it was fun, it was simple, it was exactly what I wanted.
OK, moving on.... After the wedding, we moved into our new apartment in Mesquite. Life was pretty uneventful for a few months, until January, when Danny moved back to Elgin for work. And just a couple short weeks later, the weird piece of information about the sea turtle came into play. Although we were definitely not trying, on January 25th, we found out that our little family would be expanding. :)
Our little guy has gone from looking like Eva on Wall-E.....to a cute little alien with his booty in the air.... to a precious little boy named Rustyn Daniel. :)
Soooo....now we are in the process of finding a new home for ourselves and this little man. We found a house we both really like and hopefully everything will work out with that! I have finally gotten a job, as a first grade teacher in Manor, and Danny is working hard with his family businesses. Well, now you're caught up! More coming soon!
